It takes a village to raise a kid, and a continent to raise big ideas

Prof. Dr. Pierre-Emmanuel Rautou (member of APHP, EF CLIF, INSERM, and the University of Paris) spearheads and coordinates DECISION. The 21 institutions that collaborate in this multi-centre project are spread across Europe, and include physiology-, biotechnology-, and clinical experts as well as leading patient and liver research organisations. The multidisciplinary team will ensure high-impact dissemination of scientific results, appropriate translation into clinical guidelines, and implementation in clinical practice in the future. The steering committee (SC) meets in person at least twice a year to discuss the project’s progress, the general assembly (GA), meaning all consortium members, meet once a year.
